Camp Clearfork

The camp has six dormitory cabins, three staff cabins, dining hall with full kitchen facilities and recreation building. Central bathhouse with flush toilets and warm showers, ball field.

Camp Clearfork is located   20 miles west of Hot Springs on U.S. 270.

The structures, objects, and buildings associated with the recreational facilities in Arkansas built by the Civilian Conservation Corps between 1933 and 1942 are significant in their association with the New Deal policies of President Franklin Roosevelt. These facilities are also significant in their representation of the Rustic style of architecture indicative to the CCC. Their design reflects the objective of maintaining a close, organic relationship with the natural setting, which was typical of recreational facilities constructed under federal auspices during this period. Here are some photos from Camp Clearfork.
